A 30MW Integrated Solar Combined Cycle (ISCC) plant announced recently by the Saudi Electricity Company demonstrates that concentrated solar power (CSP) is taking a position in Saudi Arabia’s energy mix.

However, as Saudi Arabia emerges as a new player in the solar industry, analysts agree that challenges, such as securing land and negotiating power purchase agreements, will need to be overcome.
