Official Government delegation announcement to Wind Energy Cape Town 2015

Members from the Department of Trade and Industry, department of energy and the Independent Power Producer programme will be attending and presenting at the 2nd year of Wind Energy Summit Cape Town.

From the DOE; Dr. Wolsey Barnard deputy general of energy programmes and projects will be attending the wind energy summit on day one of the event (16th of April)

Dr. Barnard has been the deputy general of energy for three years and will be attending the show as an honorary guest for the summit taking place on the 16th-17th April 2015. Dr Barnard has over 3 decades of experience in the energy market and brings a wealth of experience to an already impressive delegation. Dr Barnard will be on hand to answer key questions regarding the status of the latest round of the REIPPP programme.

This year at Wind Energy Cape Town 2015 the main players in the wind industry will be attendance in an intimate setting to discuss some of the most pressing commercial issues facing the industry at the moment. To add to this there will be focused presentations assisting in the technical development of wind energy in the country. These presentations will be given by market leaders; Arup Mott Macdonald and DNV-GL – all focused on improving efficiency to reduce costs and increase operational profits.
