ACWA Power has surprised the solar industry by securing large-scale solar PV and CSP projects at record-low prices. In just the first 2 weeks of January they have scooped up 610MW in solar projects in the MENA region, including 350MWp of CSP projects in Morocco and a 260MWp solar PV project in the UAE. In each case, the solar tariff they submitted was the lowest in the world.

MESIA is hosting a Breakfast Briefing featuring the CEO of ACWA Power, Mr. Paddy Padmanathan. During this breakfast, Mr. Padmanathan will outline how they structured those deals and how to achieve similar cost reductions in solar projects.
